Once again, I fell asleep during the game, anxiety-free, and woke up to the scenes of celebration from Lansdowne Street and Colorado. This morning, James "dont' tell me what happened" was firing through the TiVo, and I was walking around with a poker face on, not touching the computer or radio. The entire scene and series was identical to 2004. It's not quite as magical but we'll take it. The Boston.com headline, in the spirit of Sweet C, said it perfectly -- So good! Bring on the Duck Tour Victory Parade.

Part of me wished they lost last night so we could celebrate at home. Another part of me told that part of me to shut up.
World Champs!
Congrats to the Sox. The Rockies made it interesting with those late game HR's the past 2 days, but it just wasn't enough. I think the team was lulled to sleep when the Denver crowd was chanting "Rockies"..... "Gooo"...... over and over again in a very methodical, sleep inducing pattern.
One last note, did you hear Sox fans chanting to Theo while he was being interviewed by Butch Stearns after the game? They were saying "Don't Sign A-Rod". Please sign Mike Lowell. He's publicly stated he'd take a home-team discount. And why would you want a guy on your team that tries to steal the limelight from the final game of the World Series? Isn't that a sign to stay away? Couldn't he have announced TODAY that he's opting out of his contract? Me-Rod.
The Sox are emulating the Motor Pool Renegades with all these championships. "Winning never gets old."
Theo with 2 World Series Championships by the age of 34 as a GM, just plain awesome.
I'm equally as happy that the Sox swept so I will no longer have to listen to the world's worst sports announcer and biggest DB, Tim McCarver.

Good point, Bags. McCarver was surprisingly tolerable for the ALCS, and the start of the WS. But I think we were all collectively pleased to NOT be listening to TBS. No doubt McCarver crapped in our ears for the past 2 games.
As in 2004 I didn't make it passed the 3rd inning. Now its the Pats turn.
Winning never gets old. The best part is that most of these players are home grown from the Sox minor leagues! That is saying something for the future of Red Sox nation!
