Stroller Envy

Parent or not, check out my story today Coveting thy Neighbors Stroller to see just how insane it's gotten in the world of keeping up with the Joneses. The wheels have officially come off the wagon and our new mamas and papas are steppin' it up left and right with their fly Bugaboos and Bobs. They are pretty cool-looking, but I'm so glad I missed this craze. Expecting buckets of hate mail for this one.

I think I've seen that look here! LOL. I loved the story.

Its No. 1 emailed on boston.com.

Thanks, BB.

Yes--the sunglasses are big on the PU but most of us have very small heads.

Hi KJ! This is KW's (favorite) sister Katie. Funny story, the girl in your story is actually our sister Ellen's best friend! What a small world! Great article, btw!

Katie, That is so funny. Is her friend Emily or Sarah? Both of those girls killed me..they were hilarious (and honest). They made the article with their quotes. Hope all is well in the World of the Wires. xo

She is Emily. KW actually just visited me at work and I showed her the article. She couldn't believe it! I think Emily might have to get a new stroller....she's pregnant with #2! HaHa!

Hey Kate! Small World = PU! LP should remember Emily - she and Ellen came up to WSC and we went to a party at "The Lacrosse House" where we met Ms. Mitchell for the first time - I'm sure you were close behind!

Jeez. i feel like sh*t now because I registered for a Graco before my son was born.

KW & KW: I loved Emily. She was cool, real, funny. Two kids back to back. She'll be just like me, slouching toward the asylum on a daily basis.

MLXC--Be thankful we missed this insanity, mama!

Great article KJ! That is hilarious about the stroller envy. I can't even remember seeing a picture of any of my siblings in a stroller of any kind. We had to have had something but it was most likely 30 yr old contraption that would now be on every dangerous list around!

Excellent article, KJ. I had stroller envy recently while walking along with Princessica and Emster. While I struggled to secure JSD in his "travel system" (which shares the same name as WSC alum, J. Gangi, "Chicco"), Emster was swiftly clicked into her cherry red Bugaboo and ready to go 4-wheelin'. Harrumph.
